Morning News

Futures are up pointing to a higher open this morning.

European markets are trading to the upside today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end higher.

Crude oil is up to $75.50 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.20 per gallon.

Natural gas back above $650 per unit.

Gold moved up to $674.00 per ounce.

Weekly jobless claims will be released before the open this morning.

Leading indicators for the month of June will be out at 10:00 this morning.

Philadelphia Fed Survey set for release at noon today.

This afternoon minutes from the latest fed meeting will be released.

Ben Bernanke will be in front of Congress for the second day.

International Business Machines profit up 12% in better than expected quarter.

UnitedHealth Group reports bettr than expected quarter with a rise in profit of 22%.

Microsoft, Google, and Bank of America will be watched closely today with earnings set for release.

Earthquake in Japan earlier this week causing problems for major engine parts supplier. Toyota, Suzuki, and Nissan all slowing or in some cases haulting production.
