Morning News

Futures are pointing to a weak start to the day.

European markets are trading lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end higher.

Crude oil is up to $70.32 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $2.27 per gallon.

Natural gas has slipped to $6.71 per unit.

Gold back up to $653.00 per ounce.

May personal income figures will be released at 8:30 this morning.

Consumer spending for the month of May will also be released at 8:30 this morning.

June Chicago PMI set for release just after the open.

Construction spending for the month of May will be out at 10:00 this morning.

Consumer sentiment also set for release at 10:00 this morning.

The federal Reserve as expected left interest rates unchanged.

Former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy sentenced to 6 years in prison.
