Morning News

Futures are pointing to a slightly higher open this morning.

European markets are trading lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end lower.

Crude oil pulling back a bit to $68.27 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is currently $2.26 per gallon.

Natural gas has fallen to under $7.00 per unit.

Gold is sitting at $653.00 per ounce.

At 10:00 this morning existing home sales will be released.

The Lundberg Survey showing a drop in gasoline prices of 11 cents over the past two weeks. The national average of a gallon of unleaded gas is right at $3.00 per gallon.

Goldman Sachs has upgraded General Motors from nuetral to a buy.

Jones Apparel selling Barneys New York for $825 million.

Apple Computer set for highly anticipated release of its iPhone this week.

Reports are out a deal is near for Dow Jones and News Corp. after weekend of serious talks.

Warren Buffet auctioning a private dinner with the man for charity on eBay again this year.
