Notice how difficult it has been for the markets to go down two days in a row. If this happens again today, we're still in a technical bull market. As long as the DOW stays above 12,900 we are still in bull mode.

In contrast with 2006 when we were in a fundamental bull market, driven by earnings and future growth, today the market trades on mergers & acquisitions. This invites swings and we could be entering a heavy swing mode where you have a few days up followed by a few days down. This is fertile ground for traders.
