Morning News

Futures are pointing to a higher open at this point this morning.

European markets are trading to the upside today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end the day higher.

Google Inc. profit in first quarter reaches $1 billion easily beating expectations.

American Express saw a 21% rise in quarterly earnings topping expectations.

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. earnings come in well below expectations. Reports are out that major restructuring is in the works.

Joseph Nacchio former CEO of Quest Communications found guily of 19 insider trading charges. He could be forced to turn over his money, and face up to 10 years in jail.

Crude oil is $62.58 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline $2.09 per gallon.

Natural gas is $7.47 per unit.

Gold rebounding just a bit to $693.00 per ounce.
