Morning News

Futures are up pointing to a higher open this morning.

European markets are trading to the upside so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end with another up day.

Dow Chemical reportedly will recieve takeover bid valued as much as $54 billion by private equity bidders.

TXU Corp. board has agreed to buyout for $44 billion.

CitiGroup Inc. reportedly will increase its stake in Nikko Cordial a Japanese brokerage business.

DaimlerChrysler reports are out is considering a swap of its Chrysler unit for a stake in General motors.

After last weeks mess JetBlue has been forced to cancel 68 flights so far due to snow in the northeast.

The Lundberg Survey shows a 13 cent rise in what we pay for a gallon of gasoline over the past two weeks.The national average is $2.34 a gallon.

Crude oil is currently $61.44 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.76 per gallon.

Natural gas is $7.83 per unit.

Gold is up to $688.00 per ounce.
