Futures are pointing to a lower open this morning.

FOMC statement set for release at 2:15 this afternoon. All expectations call for no change to interest rates.

Fourth quarter gross domestic product numbers will be released before the open this morning.

December construction spending will be released at 10:00 this morning.

Energy Dept. will be releasing oil inventories at 10:30 this morning.

European markets are trading lower today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end the day lower.

Google Inc. is set to report earnings after the bell tonight.

Carl Icahn reportedly wants a seat on the Motorola board.

Tata Steel has outbid CSN for takeover of Corus Group.

Joe Biden is the latest to throw his name into the presidential race.

Crude oil really made a jump yesterday. The current price of oil is $56.78 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.51 per gallon.

Natural gas is up to $7.65 per unit.

Gold holding right around $645.00 per ounce.
