European markets are trading slightly lower so far today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 ended slightly higher.

Saudi Arabia reportedly is set to cut oil production by another 158,000 barrels.

Wal Mart Japan unit showing a bigger loss in 2006 than expected.

Cold snap setting in over the east with freezing temps. as far south as Florida.

Merril Lynch to buy First Republic.

Crude oil is $54.37 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.44 per gallon.

Natural gas remains just above $7.00 per unit.

Gold is $643,00 per ounce.
