Morning News

Futures are pointing to a slightly lower open this morning.

Energy Dept will release natural gas inventories at 10:30 this morning.

European markets are trading pretty flat today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end the day just a bit higher.

The Nasdaq will be closed on Tuesday in memory of President Ford. No word from the NYSE on there plans for Tuesday.

Apple Computer due to file annual report including earnings restatements as well as information on the stock option investigation.

Marsh & McLennan reportedly has agreed to sell Putnam Investiments to Power Corp. for $3.9 billion.

Pfizer Inc. has won a lawsuit to prevent two companies from selling generic version of Viagra in China.

Denver Colorado getting dumped on again for the second time in a week. 1 to 2 feet of snow is expected with this system moving through the area.

Crude oil is $60.40 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline remains at $1.58 per gallon.

Natural gas is $6.26 per unit.

Gold is just above $637.00 per ounce.
