Morning News

Futures are down just a bit this morning pointing to a slightly lower open.

Weekly jobless claims will be released before the open this morning.

December consumer confidence will be released at 10:00 this morning.

November existing home sales will also be released at 10:00 this morning.

Chicago PMI will be released this morning.

Energy Dept. will release oil inventories this morning at 10:30.

European markets are trading slightly lower today.

In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end the day just a tick higher.

The DOW yesterday closed at it's 22nd record high since the month of October.

John Edwards will announce his run for the White House this morning from New Orleans.

Reports are out that Apple Computer's CEO Steve Jobs may have recieved up to 7.5 million stock options without going through the board of directors.

International Business Machines and Siemens together win $9.3 billion contract from German military.

Reports are out stating Citigroup is in talks to buy Chinese Spring Airlines.

Crude oil has given back about three bucks this week. Current price is $60.48 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.58 per gallon.

Natural gas remains just above $6.00 per unit.

Gold is hanging just above $630.00 per ounce.
