Morning News

  • Futures are down this morning pointing to a lower open.

Third Quarter Gross Domestic Product numbers will be released at 8:30 this morning.

Consumer sentiment for October will be released this morning as well.

In Europe markets are trading slightly lower. In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 lost ground.

Microsoft Corp. not much movement in after hours trading after releasing earnings. The company is predicting sales and profits for the year to be inline with analyst expectations.

Industrial & Commercial Bank of China the world's largest IPO traded up 15% in Hong Kong.

Chesapeake Energy Corp. the natural gas company reported a strong quarter.

Securities and Exchange Commission to file civil fraud charges against former Delphi Executives.

Chicago Mercantile Exchange Holdings Inc. makes a deal with Taiwan Futures Exchange to share information.

California fire has killed four firefighters trying to save a home. Officials are offering $100,000 for information leading to the arrest of the person or person's responsible for starting the blaze.

In sports the ST Louis Cardinals took a 3-1 lead over the Detroit Tigers in the World Series after winning game four last night.

Crude oil is $60.13 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is currently $1.55 per gallon.
