Morning News

  • Futures are pointing to a slightly higher open this morning.

European markets are trading just a bit higher here today. In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did end the day higher.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above 12,000 for the first time yesterday.

OPEC has decided to cut oil production by 1.2 barrels per day.

Google Inc. traded higher in after hours trading last night after reporting another strong quarter.Merrill Lynch has lifted its price target from $500.00 per share to $530.00 per share.

Richard Grasso former New York Stock Exchange chief has been ordered by a judge to pay back up to $100 million of his pay package.

Sony delaying the release of its latest product the Locationfree TV Box. The company is gearing up for its release of the Playstation 3 in November.

The Detroit Tigers will face the St.Louis Cardinals in the World Series.

Crude oil is $58.70 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline is $1.48 per gallon.

Natural gas just under $7.00 per unit.

Gold back to just above $600.00 per ounce.
