  • European markets are trading to the downside today. In Tokyo the Nikkei 225 did lose ground.

  • Callaway Golf warns on quarterly sales.
  • Hewlett Packard wins two U.S. defense contracts . The deal reportedly worth $440 million over the 8 year period.
  • Sony Corp. to recall 60,000 battery packs in Japan, and also plans to recall another 30,000 in China.
  • Google Inc. to go solar. The company going to be capable of providing up to 30% of its peak electricity needs at its headquarters in Mountain View from solar power.
  • Wal Mart Stores Inc. reportedly to buy Chinese retail chain.
  • Crude oil back to $60.00 per barrel.
  • Wholesale gasoline is $1.50 per gallon.
  • Natural gas back up to $6.60 per unit.
