Morning News

Futures are pointing to a flat to slightly higher open this morning.

August personal income will be released at 8:30 this morning.

Also to be released at 8:30 is consumer spending for August.

September consumer sentiment will be released shortly after the open this morning.

Asian markets ended the day mostly higher. In Europe markets are trading higher today.

Dell Computer will recall another 100,000 battery packs made by Sony.

Toshiba Corp. has announced the company will recall up to 800,00 battery packs made by Sony.

Pfizer Inc. has recieved approval in Europe for its anti smoking pill.

Research In Motion smokes earnings forcast, and lifts third quarter profit estimates.

Lockheed Martin to up its quarterly dividend by 17%

Kirk Kerkorian reportedly wants to purchase another 12 million shares of General Motors.

Hewlett Packard to buy gaming PC maker Voodoo Computers Inc.

Walt Disney Company to pull the plug on mobile ESPN wireless service.

Crude oil is $62.51 per barrel.

Wholesale gas remains around $1.50 per gallon.

Natural gas is $5.32 per unit.

Gold currently $606.00 per ounce.
