Morning News

  • Futures are down slightly this morning. Looks like we will see a flat to slightly lower open this morning.

European markets are trading higher today. While in Tokyo the Nikkei 225 ended the day lower.

Consumer confidence for September will be released at 10:00 this morning.

Lowe's Company warns yesterday that annual income will come in well below expectations.

Lennar Corp. warning that 4th quarter earnings will also come in well below expectations.

Intel Corp. set to begin shipping XEON 3000 processors.

Airline passengers here in the United States will be allowed to carry liquids on flights again.

Federal judge yesterday ruled to allow class action lawsuit against big tobacco.

Andrew Fastow to be sentenced today for his role in the Enron Corp. collapse.

Bernard Ebbers to begin 25 year jail term today for his role in the accounting fraud that took place at WorldCom Corp.

Crude oil is sitting right at $60.00 per barrel.

Wholesale gasoline remains just below $1.50 per gallon.

Natural gas all the way down to $4.35 per unit.

Gold is $594.00 per ounce.
