Morning News

  • Futures are up just a bit this morning we could see a flat to slightly higher open.
  • March Consumer Confidence to be released today.
  • U.S. Federal Reserve meeting wraps up today. All expectations call for another rate hike. Announcement will come this afternoon.
  • Homebuilder Lennar first quarter earnings up 33.6% to $258 million. Revenue was up to $3.5 billion.
  • Apple Computer's Steve Jobs has sold nearly $296 million in Apple shares. The sale reportedly for tax purposes. Steve Jobs still owns based on yesterday's close $322 million worth of stock.
  • Pfizer Inc. facing a lawsuit alleging the company defrauded medicaid programs by marketing Lipitor to a wider range of patients than federal rules allow.
  • Citigroup considering a $5 billion offer for a bank in Turkey.
  • Crude Oil is $64.50 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline remains high at $1.83 per gallon.
  • Natural Gas remains around $7.00 per unit.
  • Gold pulling back just a bit to $564.00 per ounce.
