Morning News

  • Futures are down this morning pointing to a lower open.
  • Producer Price Index data to be released today.
  • Federal Resreve Chairman Ben Bernanke spoke after the market close yesterday. Nothing really unknown came out of his statements. The FOMC will be meeting on March 27th and 28th.
  • Oracle earns 42% more than a year ago, but only saw a rise of 4% from new database licenses.
  • Reports are out that Level3 Communications may get a bid to be bought by BEA Systems for around $10 billion.
  • Target now expects March sales to come in up 1.5% to 2.5% previous forcast called for a rise of 1% to 3%
  • Electronic Arts upgraded this morning at Merrill Lynch.
  • Volvo to buy 13% stake in Nissan Diesel for $196 million.
  • Crude Oil pulling back to just above $60.00 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is $1.81 per gallon.
  • Natural Gas is $6.75 per unit.
  • Gold pulling back a bit this morning current price is $553.00 per ounce.
