Morning News

  • Futures are pointing to a higher open this morning.
  • January Consumer Price Index to be released at 8:30 this morning.
  • President Bush not backing down from his decision to allow an Arab owned company to take over operations at six U.S. ports.
  • Energy Dept. will release oil inventories on Thursday this week due to the holiday on Monday.
  • Alaska officials have made a deal with Exxon Mobil, BP, and Conoco Phillips for a natural gas pipeline. The project not expected to begin until 2012.
  • Baidu.Com released earnings yesterday after the bell and the company did beat expectations. Share price jumped, and the stock should be active today.
  • Crude Oil is $62.10 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline $1.43 per gallon.
  • Natural Gas currently $7.63 per unit.
  • Gold backing off just a bit to $554.60 per ounce.
