Morning News

  • Futures are pointing to a slightly higher open this morning.
  • The Lundberg Survey shows retail gas prices rose 8 cents nationwide over the past couple of weeks. This is the first rise in over three months.
  • Time Warner Inc. in talks to sell 5% stake in it's AOL unit to Google Inc. for $1 billion.
  • FPL Group and Constellation Energy confirm merger deal.
  • Pfizer Inc. wins patent dispute with Ranbaxy Laboratories LTD over Lipitor. A judge ruled in favor of Pfizer late on friday.
  • Two New York City bus lines shut down which serves nearly 50,000 commuters. A full citywide strike is threatened by tuesday.
  • Crude Oil is currently $58.52 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is $1.56 per gallon.
  • Natural Gas is $14.03 per unit.
  • Gold is up a bit this morning to $510.20 per ounce.
