Morning News

  • Futures are up this morning pointing to a higher open.
  • OPEC leaders meeting today and are expected to leave output unchanged. They may cut output next month if demand weakens.
  • ConocoPhillips reportedly in negotiations to buy oil and gas producer Burlington Resources Inc.
  • Viacom's Paramount Pictures reaches agreement to purchase DreamWorks in a deal worth $1.6 billion.
  • Delta Airlines Inc. reaches deal with the union representing 6,100 pilots. The pilots have agreed to pay cuts.
  • Credit Suisse first Boston is latest to bump up Google Inc. price target to $475 per share from $400 per share. Google Inc. will also be joining the Nasdaq 100 Index this month.
  • Crude Oil is currently $59.80 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is $1.61 per gallon.
  • Natural Gas is $14.64 per unit.
  • Gold is trading at 25 year highs. Currently the price of gold is $541.10 per ounce.
