Morning News

  • Futures are flat this morning pointing to a slightly weaker open.
  • September International Trade today.
  • October Federal Budget 2pm today.
  • Preliminary November Consumer Sentiment 10 am.
  • October Import Prices also out this morning.
  • Weekly Jobless Claims also to be released this morning.
  • China is now reporting two new outbreaks of the Bird Flu.
  • General Motors (GM) to restate 2001 earnings. The company believes it overstated 2001 profits by up to $400 million.
  • Air Canada has renewed a $6 billion contract with Boeing (BA)
  • Yahoo Inc. (YHOO) reportedly out of the running for Time Warner's AOL.
  • Pfizer Inc. (PFE) being probed by the US Dept. of Justice for some of it's payments to physicians
  • Crude Oil dipping lower this morning to $58.55 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline also down a bit to $1.53 per gallon.
  • Natural Gas is currently $11.70 per unit.
  • Gold is $468.60 per ounce.
