Morning News

  • Futures are down this morning looking at a lower open.
  • Fed meeting today expectations call for another .25% hike to 4% it will be official at 2:15 this afternoon.
  • President Bush to speak on the countries plan when it comes to the Bird Flu today.
  • Dell Inc. (DELL) company stated in it's earnings release they expect third quarter earnings to come in at low end of expectations as well as sales. The company blames American consumers and British business customer lines.
  • King Win Laurel offers $450 billion for Exxon Mobil. this bid comes in at about 25% premium to it's current value. Exxon is dismissing this offer.
  • Ford Motor Company to offer wireless mobile offices in it's F-Series pickups. Plans include a computer, printer, global positioning system, digital camera, and credit card scanner.
  • Crude Oil is $59.68 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline remains around $1.59 per gallon.
  • Natural Gas is currently $12.30 per unit.
  • Gold $467.60 per ounce.
