Morning News

  • Futures are up pointing to a higher open this morning.
  • The Lundberg Survey released shows a drop of 25 cents in the average price of a gallon of unleaded gasoline over the past two weeks.
  • Apple Computer (AAPL) facing class action lawsuit over the companies iPod Nano screens. The suit claims the company knew it's music player was defective but went ahead with the products release.
  • Cendant Corp. (CD) to split itself into 4 seperate companies. The main lines of the company are Real Estate, Travel, Hotels, and Car Rentals.
  • Hurricane Wilma a category 3 storm battering the south west coast of Florida with 125 mph winds. The storm expected to cross the state today and makes it's way out to the open Atlantic.
  • Crude Oil is currently $59.75 per barrel.
  • Natural Gas is $12.63 per unit.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is $1.60 per gallon.
  • Gold down a bit to $466.60 per ounce.
