Morning News

  • Futures are up pointing to a higher open this morning.
  • September Producer Price Index to be released this morning.
  • On Monday Fed Chief Alan Greenspan said the spike in oil prices will slow Global Growth.
  • Refco Inc (RFX) to sell it's futures business to J.C Flowers & Company for $768 million. The rest of the company has filled for Bancruptcy Protection.
  • Chiron Corp. (CHIR) doesn't expect to ship as many Flu vaccines as originally forcasted. The company is saying as a result they are lowering profit outlook.
  • Tropical Storm Wilma expected to become a hurricane as early as this morning. Current track models bring the storm into the Gulf of Mexico on Friday then making a northeast turn towards South Florida.
  • Crude Oil is pulling back a bit as the storm track on Wilma has shifted towards the Florida Coast keeping this storm for the most part out of the areas with oil and gas intrest. Currently $63.38 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is down as well to $1.76 per gallon.
  • Gold is $474.80 per ounce.
