Morning News

  • Futures are up a bit could see a slightly higher open today.
  • Labor Department to release Weekly Jobless Claims at 8:30 am.
  • August Consumer Price Index due out at 8:30 am.
  • July Business Inventory Report also out at 8:30 am.
  • September Philidelphia Fed Survey at noon today.
  • Both Delta Airlines and Northwest Airlines filed for Bankruptcy Protection late on Wednesday.
  • Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) to release it's new XBOX 360 game console on November 22 here in the U.S.
  • Google Inc. (GOOG) has priced 14.16 million shares for $295.00 per share for the companies stock offering.
  • Hurricane Ophelia is pounding the North Carolina coast with heavy rain, wind, and surf. Some areas have recieved more than 10 inches of rain. The storm is expected to skirt the coast before moving out into the open Atlantic.
  • Crude Oil Currently $65.35 per gallon.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is at $1.94
  • Gold continues to stay in that $450.00 range currently it is $453.30 per ounce.
