Morning News

  • Futures are down a bit pointing to a slightly lower open.
  • The Lundberg Survey which polls 7,000 gas stations accross the country has come up with $3.01 as the national average price paid for unleaded gasoline.
  • President Bush to be back in the areas hardest hit by hurricane Katrina today.
  • Delta Air Lines (DAL) expected to file for Bankruptcy Protection as early as this week.
  • Ebay Inc. (EBAY) to offer $1.3 billion in cash, $1.3 billion in stock, and up to $1.5 billion in incentives for Skype Technologies.
  • Crude Oil is currently down just a bit to $63.84 per barrel.
  • Wholesale Gasoline is also down just a bit to $1.94
  • Gold down slightly to $252.00 per ounce.
