Morning News

  • Futures are pointing to a higher open this morning.
  • June Business Inventory numbers today at 10 am.
  • July Retail Sales this morning at 8:30 am.
  • Weekly Jobless Claims also this morning at 8:30 am.
  • Yahoo Inc. (YHOO) has announced a $1 billion deal with Alibaba.com This will give (YHOO) a 40% stake in the company.
  • Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) has recieved an order for 1.7 million doses of it's influenza drug Relenza from the German government.
  • Ford Motor Co. (F) looking to increase it's 30% stake in China's commercial vehicle maker Jiangling Motors Corp.
  • Crude Oil has reached yet another record going above $65.00 a barrel. Currently oil has pulled back some holding at $64.50 range per barrel.
  • Gold is up as well this morning currently $443.70 per ounce.
