Morning News

  • Futures are up pointing to a higher open.
  • June Housing Starts due out this am.
  • Investors should learn more about the restructuring at Hewlett Packard this morning. Speculation is that 15,000 to 25,000 jobs could be cut.
  • International Business Machines Corp.(IBM) reported strong earnings after the bell last night. Second quarter profits rose 5% from a year ago.The stock was very active in after hours trading.
  • Boeing(BA) to release a new long range 737 aircraft.
  • Crude oil is currently just over $57.00 per barrel.
  • Gold is currently just under $420.00 per ounce.
